The sound installation enters the exhibition as another form of\nemot ional expression\, extending its exploration of water\, inner states\,\nvu lnerability\, and the possibility of release and renewal.\n\nDream of Rain explores emotional intensity\, experiences of pain\, and the inner\nneed for cleansing through works created on textile and a spatial installation. \nDeparting from water as one of the oldest and most universal symbols of life\,\nthe exhibition constructs a space between weight and release\, bet ween what we\ncarry within ourselves and what we must let go of in order t o begin again.\n\nAt the heart of the exhibition is the motif of rain—not simply as a natural\nphenomenon\, but as a state of anticipation. Here\, r ain is what comes after\nsaturation\, the moment when everything that has accumulated finally transforms\ninto movement. It can be a tear\, a relief \, a memory\, but also a promise of a new\nbeginning. Dream of Rain speaks of the human desire to find the possibility of\nrenewal through our own f ractures\, to allow what was once a source of pain to\nbecome the ground f rom which something new can emerge.\n\nThe textile works occupy a space be tween painting\, object\, and bodily\nexperience. Textile\, as a material intimately connected to the body\, clothing\,\ntouch\, and everyday life\, becomes a carrier of emotional traces and a kind of\nmembrane between the inner and outer worlds. Its softness and flexibility stand\nin contrast t o the intensity of the themes evoked by the works: pain\, longing\,\nvulne rability\, but also the need for transformation. The material therefore do es\nnot remain merely a surface for painting\, but becomes an active part of the\nwork’s meaning.\n\nThe installation further shifts the works beyon d the traditional relationship\nbetween painting and wall\, creating an en vironment that can be experienced\nalmost as an inner landscape. Fragments of textile\, their forms\, and their\npresence within the space create an atmosphere resembling the moment immediately\nbefore or after rain—the un certain interval in which the weight of what has\npassed can still be felt \, while the possibility of something different is\nalready beginning to e merge. The exhibition space thus becomes a meeting point\nbetween the pers onal and the universal\, between intimate experience and the\ncycles of na ture.\n\nWater\, in this context\, carries an archetypal meaning. As the m other of life\, it\nsimultaneously represents origin\, cleansing\, and the possibility of rebirth.\nRain nourishes the earth and restores its fertil ity\; in a similar way\, what we\nexperience as emotional weight can becom e part of a process of inner\ntransformation. Of the need for s omething within us to loosen\, to overflow\nthe boundaries we have placed around it\, and finally to find a way outward.\nDream of Rain is\, in this sense\, a space between a tear and rain\, between the\nend of one cycle a nd the possibility of a new source.\n\nIt is a dream of water\, but also a dream of the moment when\, after a long inner\nstorm\, it once again beco mes possible to breathe.\n\nArtist Biography: Teodora Nešković \n\nTeodora Nešković (b. 2001\, Serbia) is a young artist based in Belgrade. She\ncom pleted her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Painting at the Faculty of F ine\nArts in Belgrade\, graduating with a Master’s degree in September 202 5. She is\ncurrently pursuing her doctoral studies at the same institution \, where she also\nworks as a research associate.\n\nAlthough painting is her primary medium of expression\, Nešković explores a range\nof materials and forms\, working across printmaking\, sculpture\, scenography\, and\na mbient (site-specific) installation. Her artistic practice is characterize d by\nan interest in translating introspective experiences into visual nar ratives that\nconnect the personal with the universal.\n\nShe has particip ated in numerous workshops\, artist residencies\, and festivals\,\nand has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions in Serbia and\ninternati onally\, including in Croatia\, Slovenia\, Hungary\, Austria\, the Czech\n Republic\, Montenegro\, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a recipient of an award\nfrom the Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art\, and her works are he ld in museum and\nprivate collections.\n\nArtist Biography: Isidora Bulato vić \n\nIsidora Bulatović is a 22-year-old cellist and sound artist based in Vienna\,\ncurrently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the\nclass of Tobias Stosiek. Her artistic practice focuses o n contemporary music\,\nsound\, performance\, and sound installations\, ex ploring the cello beyond its\ntraditional role.\n\nShe has performed at fe stivals and venues across Austria\, including Salzburg\,\nLinz\, Vienna\, and Graz\, as well as in the Czech Republic. DREAM OF RAIN

Dream of Ra in is an e exhibition that brings together visual works and a sound instal lation, creating a shared sensory space in which image and sound become in tertwined. The sound installation enters the exhibition as another form of emotional expression, extending its exploration of water, inner states, v ulnerability, and the possibility of release and renewal.

Dream of R ain explores emotional intensity, experiences of pain, and the inner need for cleansing through works created on textile and a spatial installation. Departing from water as one of the oldest and most universal symbols of l ife, the exhibition constructs a space between weight and release, between what we carry within ourselves and what we must let go of in order to beg in again.

At the heart of the exhibition is the motif of rain—not si mply as a natural phenomenon, but as a state of anticipation. Here, rain i s what comes after saturation, the moment when everything that has accumul ated finally transforms into movement. It can be a tear, a relief, a memor y, but also a promise of a new beginning. Dream of Rain speaks of the huma n desire to find the possibility of renewal through our own fractures, to allow what was once a source of pain to become the ground from which somet hing new can emerge.

The textile works occupy a space between painti ng, object, and bodily experience. Textile, as a material intimately conne cted to the body, clothing, touch, and everyday life, becomes a carrier of emotional traces and a kind of membrane between the inner and outer world s. Its softness and flexibility stand in contrast to the intensity of the themes evoked by the works: pain, longing, vulnerability, but also the nee d for transformation. The material therefore does not remain merely a surf ace for painting, but becomes an active part of the work’s meaning.

The installation further shifts the works beyond the traditional relations hip between painting and wall, creating an environment that can be experie nced almost as an inner landscape. Fragments of textile, their forms, and their presence within the space create an atmosphere resembling the moment immediately before or after rain—the uncertain interval in which the weig ht of what has passed can still be felt, while the possibility of somethin g different is already beginning to emerge. The exhibition space thus beco mes a meeting point between the personal and the universal, between intima te experience and the cycles of nature.

Water, in this context, carr ies an archetypal meaning. As the mother of life, it simultaneously repres ents origin, cleansing, and the possibility of rebirth. Rain nourishes the earth and restores its fertility; in a similar way, what we experience as emotional weight can become part of a process of inner transformation. Artist Biography: T eodora Nešković 

Teodora Nešković (b. 2001, Serbia) is a young artist based in Belgrade. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master ’s degrees in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, graduating with a Master’s degree in September 2025. She is currently pursuing her d octoral studies at the same institution, where she also works as a researc h associate.

Although painting is her primary medium of expression, Nešković explores a range of materials and forms, working across printmaki ng, sculpture, scenography, and ambient (site-specific) installation. Her artistic practice is characterized by an interest in translating introspec tive experiences into visual narratives that connect the personal with the universal.

She has participated in numerous workshops, artist resid encies, and festivals, and has presented her work in solo and group exhibi tions in Serbia and internationally, including in Croatia, Slovenia, Hunga ry, Austria, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. S he is a recipient of an award from the Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art, a nd her works are held in museum and private collections.

Art ist Biography: Isidora Bulatović 

Isidora Bulatović is a 22-year-old cellist and sound artist based in Vienna, currently studyin g at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class of Tobi as Stosiek. Her artistic practice focuses on contemporary music, sound, pe rformance, and sound installations, exploring the cello beyond its traditi onal role.

She has performed at festivals and venues across Austria, including Salzburg, Linz, Vienna, and Graz, as well as in the Czech Repub lic. Her collaborations include Hermann Nitsch’s final 6-Day Play, the Ang ewandte Festival in Vienna, and a performance for cello, text, and live el ectronics with students of Kunstuniversität Linz.

Her most recent wo rk is a sound installation for live cello and a backing track called– Imit ation Error – premiered in Trieste.
