The sound installation enters the exhibition as another f orm of\nemotional expression\, extending its exploration of water\, inner states\,\nvulnerability\, and the possibility of release and renewal.\n\nD ream of Rain explores emotional intensity\, experiences of pain\, and the inner\nneed for cleansing through works created on textile and a spatial i nstallation.\nDeparting from water as one of the oldest and most universal symbols of life\,\nthe exhibition constructs a space between weight and r elease\, between what we\ncarry within ourselves and what we must let go o f in order to begin again.\n\nAt the heart of the exhibition is the motif of rain—not simply as a natural\nphenomenon\, but as a state of anticipati on. Here\, rain is what comes after\nsaturation\, the moment when everythi ng that has accumulated finally transforms\ninto movement. It can be a tea r\, a relief\, a memory\, but also a promise of a new\nbeginning. Dream of Rain speaks of the human desire to find the possibility of\nrenewal throu gh our own fractures\, to allow what was once a source of pain to\nbecome the ground from which something new can emerge.\n\nThe textile works occup y a space between painting\, object\, and bodily\nexperience. Textile\, as a material intimately connected to the body\, clothing\,\ntouch\, and eve ryday life\, becomes a carrier of emotional traces and a kind of\nmembrane between the inner and outer worlds. Its softness and flexibility stand\ni n contrast to the intensity of the themes evoked by the works: pain\, long ing\,\nvulnerability\, but also the need for transformation. The material therefore does\nnot remain merely a surface for painting\, but becomes an active part of the\nwork’s meaning.\n\nThe installation further shifts the works beyond the traditional relationship\nbetween painting and wall\, cr eating an environment that can be experienced\nalmost as an inner landscap e. Fragments of textile\, their forms\, and their\npresence within the spa ce create an atmosphere resembling the moment immediately\nbefore or after rain—the uncertain interval in which the weight of what has\npassed can s till be felt\, while the possibility of something different is\nalready be ginning to emerge. The exhibition space thus becomes a meeting point\nbetw een the personal and the universal\, between intimate experience and the\n cycles of nature.\n\nWater\, in this context\, carries an archetypal meani ng. As the mother of life\, it\nsimultaneously represents origin\, cleansi ng\, and the possibility of rebirth.\nRain nourishes the earth and restore s its fertility\; in a similar way\, what we\nexperience as emotional weig ht can become part of a process of inner\ntransformation. Cleansing here i s not imagined as an erasure of the past\, but as\nan acceptance and trans formation of what has been painful.\n\nThe exhibition therefore does not s peak only of suffering\, but of the necessity\nof moving through it. Of th e need for something within us to loosen\, to overflow\nthe boundaries we have placed around it\, and finally to find a way outward.\nDream of Rain is\, in this sense\, a space between a tear and rain\, between the\nend of one cycle and the possibility of a new source.\n\nIt is a dream of water\ , but also a dream of the moment when\, after a long inner\nstorm\, it onc e again becomes possible to breathe.\n\nArtist Biography: Teodora Nešković  \n\nTeodora Nešković (b. 2001\, Serbia) is a young artist based in Belgra de. She\ncompleted her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Painting at the Faculty of Fine\nArts in Belgrade\, graduating with a Master’s degree in S eptember 2025. She is\ncurrently pursuing her doctoral studies at the same institution\, where she also\nworks as a research associate.\n\nAlthough painting is her primary medium of expression\, Nešković explores a range\n of materials and forms\, working across printmaking\, sculpture\, scenogra phy\, and\nambient (site-specific) installation. Her artistic practice is characterized by\nan interest in translating introspective experiences int o visual narratives that\nconnect the personal with the universal.\n\nShe has participated in numerous workshops\, artist residencies\, and festival s\,\nand has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions in Serbia an d\ninternationally\, including in Croatia\, Slovenia\, Hungary\, Austria\, the Czech\nRepublic\, Montenegro\, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a r ecipient of an award\nfrom the Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art\, and her works are held in museum and\nprivate collections.\n\nArtist Biography: Is idora Bulatović \n\nIsidora Bulatović is a 22-year-old cellist and sound a rtist based in Vienna\,\ncurrently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the\nclass of Tobias Stosiek. Her artistic practi ce focuses on contemporary music\,\nsound\, performance\, and sound instal lations\, exploring the cello beyond its\ntraditional role.\n\nShe has per formed at festivals and venues across Austria\, including Salzburg\,\nLinz \, Vienna\, and Graz\, as well as in the Czech Republic. DREAM OF RAIN

Dre am of Rain is an e exhibition that brings together visual works and a soun d installation, creating a shared sensory space in which image and sound b ecome intertwined. The sound installation enters the exhibition as another form of emotional expression, extending its exploration of water, inner s tates, vulnerability, and the possibility of release and renewal.

Dr eam of Rain explores emotional intensity, experiences of pain, and the inn er need for cleansing through works created on textile and a spatial insta llation. Departing from water as one of the oldest and most universal symb ols of life, the exhibition constructs a space between weight and release, between what we carry within ourselves and what we must let go of in orde r to begin again.

At the heart of the exhibition is the motif of rai n—not simply as a natural phenomenon, but as a state of anticipation. Here , rain is what comes after saturation, the moment when everything that has accumulated finally transforms into movement. It can be a tear, a relief, a memory, but also a promise of a new beginning. Dream of Rain speaks of the human desire to find the possibility of renewal through our own fractu res, to allow what was once a source of pain to become the ground from whi ch something new can emerge.

The textile works occupy a space betwee n painting, object, and bodily experience. Textile, as a material intimate ly connected to the body, clothing, touch, and everyday life, becomes a ca rrier of emotional traces and a kind of membrane between the inner and out er worlds. Its softness and flexibility stand in contrast to the intensity of the themes evoked by the works: pain, longing, vulnerability, but also the need for transformation. The material therefore does not remain merel y a surface for painting, but becomes an active part of the work’s meaning .

The installation further shifts the works beyond the traditional r elationship between painting and wall, creating an environment that can be experienced almost as an inner landscape. Fragments of textile, their for ms, and their presence within the space create an atmosphere resembling th e moment immediately before or after rain—the uncertain interval in which the weight of what has passed can still be felt, while the possibility of something different is already beginning to emerge. Artist Biog raphy: Teodora Nešković 

Teodora Nešković (b. 2001, Se rbia) is a young artist based in Belgrade. She completed her Bachelor’s an d Master’s degrees in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, gr aduating with a Master’s degree in September 2025. She is currently pursui ng her doctoral studies at the same institution, where she also works as a research associate.

Although painting is her primary medium of expr ession, Nešković explores a range of materials and forms, working across p rintmaking, sculpture, scenography, and ambient (site-specific) installati on. Her artistic practice is characterized by an interest in translating i ntrospective experiences into visual narratives that connect the personal with the universal.

She has participated in numerous workshops, arti st residencies, and festivals, and has presented her work in solo and grou p exhibitions in Serbia and internationally, including in Croatia, Sloveni a, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzeg ovina. She is a recipient of an award from the Museum of Naïve and Margina l Art, and her works are held in museum and private collections.

Artist Biography: Isidora Bulatović 

Isidora Bula tović is a 22-year-old cellist and sound artist based in Vienna, currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class of Tobias Stosiek. Her artistic practice focuses on contemporary music, s ound, performance, and sound installations, exploring the cello beyond its traditional role.

She has performed at festivals and venues across Austria, including Salzburg, Linz, Vienna, and Graz, as well as in the Cze ch Republic. Her collaborations include Hermann Nitsch’s final 6-Day Play, the Angewandte Festival in Vienna, and a performance for cello, text, and live electronics with students of Kunstuniversität Linz.

Her most r ecent work is a sound installation for live cello and a backing track call ed– Imitation Error – premiered in Trieste.
